Where we meet

If being in the same room isn't workable, you can sit in separate rooms and I'll move between you. That's shuttle mediation, and it's a normal way to do this — not a sign it's going badly.
Evening appointments are available, so you don't have to explain an afternoon off to your employer.
Towns I cover from Guildford
Guildford is central enough that most of west Surrey is a manageable trip. Where it isn't, we do it online.
Godalming
Four miles down the A3100 and a few minutes on the train. Close enough that most Godalming clients come in person for every session, including evenings.
Woking
A straight run on the train or the A320. Useful if one of you commutes from Woking and the other is Guildford-based — a central meeting point rather than one of you always travelling.
Farnham
Around half an hour along the A31. Farnham clients often do the MIAM in person and later joint sessions on video, to avoid two rush-hour trips a week.
Cranleigh
No station, but a short drive up the A281. Worth booking an evening slot to miss the traffic through Shalford.
Haslemere
Further south and a longer drive, though the direct train makes it straightforward. Online works well here, especially where one parent has moved away.
Dorking
East along the A25 and served by the Guildford line. Convenient if your separation involves the Mole Valley side of the county but you'd rather not meet locally.

Or entirely online
The whole process works over video, including separate virtual rooms so you don't have to look at each other. It's the usual choice where one of you has moved out of the area, where childcare makes an evening trip impossible, or where travelling to the same building simply isn't something either of you wants to do yet.
Nothing about the process or the paperwork changes. You get the same MIAM, the same joint sessions and the same written outcome. Some people find it easier to say the difficult thing from their own kitchen table.

A one-to-one meeting with me. I explain the process, check mediation is right for you, and answer your questions. Your ex has their own, separately.

Joint sessions
You, your ex and me, in the same room or on separate screens if you'd rather not face each other. We work through the issues one at a time.
Usually 2 to 4 sessions -
Your written agreement
You leave with a clear document setting out what you've agreed. A solicitor can turn it into a court order if you want one.
Sent within a week
If you or a child are in immediate danger, call 999.
